Large shipments of digital signage LCD panels

According to a recent study by Digitimes Research, a market research organization, the shipments of LCD panels for digital signage will reach 5.8 million in 2020, an increase of 8.6% year-on-year. Since then, shipments will continue to grow, reaching 8.8 million units by 2020.

Although the use of SMD (Surface Mount Device) RGB LED technology has improved the resolution of LED display panels for digital signage, liquid crystal displays (LCDs) still have more advantages in terms of resolution.

Although liquid crystal displays in large-format applications still require the splicing of multiple units, their ultra-thin panel design and improved image technology will still allow liquid crystals to maintain their mainstream status in the market.

In addition, the development of digital signage is being combined with the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, and big data analysis to collect and analyze data for commercial purposes.
